We first connected long distance through the Facebook dating app, quickly bonding over deep conversations and Cory’s intellect attracted me the most. After a period of uncertainty and losing touch for a while, fate stepped in—a few months later, I posted a birthday photo on Instagram, and Cory slid into my DMs. I mentioned I was moving back to Houston, and he was excited to finally meet in person.
Our first date was at a cozy Thai restaurant (which, sadly, isn’t around anymore). I was so nervous that I arrived early just to calm my nerves. When Cory walked in, I waved him over, and from the moment we started talking, it felt like we’d never missed a beat—even though we’d been out of touch for eight months due to distance. That night, everything clicked, and we’ve been inseparable ever since.
