Stevie Eagle E (Stephen Ellis): A Multifaceted Visionary in Entertainment

Chart-topping artist, songwriter, award-winning filmmaker, Grammy-nominated video director, and entrepreneur, Stevie Eagle E—born Stephen Ellis—is a creative force whose impact spans over 35 years across music, film, marketing, and philanthropy. As the CEO and founder of Shlepp Entertainment Ltd., Stevie Eagle E has dedicated his life to redefining the boundaries of art, culture, and communication.

Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Born in London to Jamaican parents, Stevie Eagle E experienced a vibrant yet challenging childhood that shaped his multicultural perspective. Raised in multiple countries, including the United States (North Babylon, Long Island, and Brownsville, Brooklyn), his exposure to diverse environments enriched his artistic foundation. At just six years old, Stevie began performing with his siblings in a "Jackson 5"-style family act, unknowingly foreshadowing his future collaborations with legends like the Jacksons themselves.

In his early teens, Stevie Eagle E’s musical journey blossomed. As a talented percussionist, he became a prominent figure in the British reggae scene. By 15, his musical prowess earned him a scholarship to perform with London’s School Symphonic and Concert Orchestras—an achievement particularly notable during an era when diversity in classical music ensembles was scarce.

Stevie’s passion for creativity extended beyond music. He later earned a Master’s degree with honors from the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design. Recognized for his innovative approach to sound design, he was invited to teach at the institution, further cementing his reputation as a trailblazer in the arts.

A Diverse and Illustrious Career

Stevie Eagle E’s career reads like a roadmap of modern music history. From his early roots in reggae and R&B to his groundbreaking contributions to rap and garage music, Stevie has worked with a host of renowned artists, including Frankie Paul, Freddie McGregor, Courtney Pine, Dennis Brown, Mica Paris, and Gregory Isaacs. His collaborations extend to international stars like Peter Andre, Kym Mazelle, and Jocelyn Brown, among many others.

As half of the dynamic production duo EEDB (Eagle E and Doc B), Stevie played a pivotal role in the British R&B resurgence and garage music revolution. His global mindset was evident in his work with Leslie Loh, the first Chinese artist to top Western music charts with the hit Satisfied. This success spurred Stevie’s vision of fostering a Chinese crossover superstar, which culminated in his discovery and development of Ayi Jihu, dubbed the "Chinese Madonna." Under Stevie’s guidance, Ayi Jihu made history as the first Chinese artist to perform at Brazil’s Carnival and achieved worldwide recognition, collaborating with legends like Tito Jackson.

Innovation in Media and Film

Stevie Eagle E’s influence extends into film and media. As the creator of the Fearchaser™ film concept, Stevie developed an award-winning property that not only gained traction as a blockbuster-in-the-making but also became a popular online game played by millions worldwide. His social media and marketing networks reach over 15 million people monthly, underscoring his expertise in building global platforms that unite communities.

His foray into filmmaking has been equally successful, with award-winning short films and groundbreaking projects like Asianstar24, the first reality TV show filmed in Macau, China.
